The sanctuary was not what Whiskers had imagined. He’d pictured glittering crystals, towering feline statues, a place of opulent grandeur befitting the whispers of prophecy. Instead, it was a cavernous space, carved deep into the planet’s core, where the only illumination came from bioluminescent fungi that pulsed with a soft, ethereal blue light.
