The Shadow Weaver's tactics: intimidation, legal traps, lies. He sees us as a threat, but his attempts to undermine us only strengthen our resolve and reveal his weaknesses.
The air in the makeshift office crackled, not with the usual hum of shared purpose, but with a tension that felt as thick as the dust motes dancing in the afternoon sunbeams. The Luminary, his brow furrowed, traced the lines on a crumpled document. It was a cease and desist, a legalistic jab from a firm whose name was synonymous with the shadows he was trying to pierce.
“They think they can just… *stop* us,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble that vibrated with an unspoken history of being silenced. He looked up, his eyes, usually pools of quiet understanding, now held a spark of something fiercer. “They think paper and ink can erase what’s real.”
The Sentinel, perched on the edge of a worn-out chair, her laptop screen a beacon of focused light, nodded grimly. “It’s a tactic, Luminary. A distraction. They want to bog us down, make us question. Make us *stop*.” She tapped a key, her fingers moving with practiced precision. “But they underestimate the fire.”
