Her heels clicked against the ancient stone as she stepped out of the car, the air thick with the scent of jasmine and something else… something that felt like history clinging to the very walls. Vihaan emerged beside her, his usual effortless charm momentarily overshadowed by a flicker of something akin to unease. This was his territory, a place steeped in Rathore legacy, and for the first time, Aadhya felt a prickle of doubt about their forced proximity.
“Charming, isn’t it?” Vihaan’s voice was a low rumble, devoid of its usual teasing lilt. He gestured with an open hand, encompassing the sprawling courtyards, the intricately carved balconies, and the distant shimmer of a lotus-filled pond.
