The quiet hum of the Inuzuka household usually soothed my restless spirit, a comforting counterpoint to the lingering echoes of my past. Tonight, however, it was a fragile shield against a rising tide of unease. Kiba was asleep beside me, his breathing deep and even, Akamaru a warm weight nestled at his feet. Kuroha, ever vigilant, lay curled by the window, a silhouette against the pale moonlight. But sleep offered no respite. It spoke of bloodlines, not as gifts, but as curses, as tools for power, as targets.

Then, a face. It was indistinct, shrouded in shadow, yet I felt a chilling familiarity, a resonance that vibrated deep within my bones. This face, I knew, belonged to the source of the encroaching darkness. It was the face of the antagonist, the one who hunted those like me, those who carried the weight of rare legacies. The dream offered no clear answers, only a gnawing sense of dread, a premonition of a storm gathering on the horizon.
