Chapter 6
Elder's Shadow
Elder Valerius, a ruthless vampire leader, senses the shift in power. He views Lyra's actions as heresy and plans to exploit the rising tensions to ensure vampire dominance, manipulating events from the shadows.

A faint shimmer in the periphery caught his eye. A spectral projection flickered into existence, coalescing into the gaunt, predatory features of an elder from a rival coven. His eyes, like chips of frozen moonlight, narrowed. “Valerius,” the apparition rasped, its voice a dry rustle of dead leaves. “You feel it too, do you not?”
