The air in this place, this so-called hell, was thick with a cloying dread, a miasma that clung to my spectral form like a shroud. It was a suffocating warmth, a stagnant heat that pressed in on all sides, amplifying the stench of decay and something far more metallic, something that spoke of recent, brutal acts. Every corner I turned, every shift in my incorporeal weight, brought me face to face with the grotesque tableau that had become my permanent residence. Mutilated animals lay scattered like discarded toys, their once-vibrant fur matted with a dark, viscous fluid that seeped into the very ground. Unspecified blood, a spectrum of crimson and rust, painted the landscape, a constant, sickening reminder that the violence here was not a memory, but a living, breathing entity.

And she was always there.
