Chapter 4
Heaven's Gentle Gaze
Now Sarah watches from a place beyond. She sees her family, her farm, bathed in a warm, ethereal light. There's no pain, only a profound understanding and a quiet joy as she observes the legacy of her love endure.
The world I knew, the one of sun-kissed fields and the comforting scent of turned earth, had faded, not into darkness, but into a light so soft it felt like a whispered caress. It was a light that didn't blind, but illuminated, revealing a panorama of my beloved farm, my family, my life, all from a vantage point I could never have imagined. I was no longer tethered to the soil, to the physical limitations of flesh and bone. She was still here, still nurturing, still finding beauty in the small things.

He was checking the fences, just as he always did, his gaze sweeping across the land with a practiced eye. There was a weariness in his posture, a subtle heaviness that I recognized, a weight he carried even before… before. But beneath it, I could also see the enduring strength, the unwavering commitment to this place, to us. He was the anchor, and even now, he held fast.
