Chapter 14
A Sister's Plea
Bishop Dark confronts Tygorra, his voice raw with emotion, demanding to know the truth about Talia. The revelation is staggering: Talia is not a victim, but a willing member of the coven. She sought refuge here years ago, drawn by the promise of acceptance and understanding. Tygorra reveals that Talia chose this life, finding a family and a purpose within their community. The news is a bitter pill for Bishop, shattering his preconceived notions and forcing him to confront the possibility that he’s been hunting the wrong kind of 'evil' all along.

"You've got something of mine," Bishop’s voice was a low growl, devoid of its usual sardonic bite. It was the sound of a man cornered, stripped bare of his bravado. "A little sister. Talia. Ten years old when she vanished. Five years ago."
Tygorra tilted her head, her dark eyes, the color of deep forest pools, studying him with an almost detached curiosity. "A child? We do not traffic in children, Hunter. Nor do we steal them."
