Leo faces his first true challenge: corrupted creatures born from erased memories. He uses his ability to unravel their past, fighting them with their own forgotten histories.
The air in the cavern tasted of dust and despair. It was a metallic tang, like old blood, and it clung to the back of my throat, a constant reminder of where I was. Erebos. A world that had forgotten its own name, a tapestry unraveled thread by thread. My thread, it seemed, was the only one left with any semblance of color.
The creatures that shambled from the deeper shadows were a testament to the Oblivion’s artistry. They weren’t flesh and blood in the way I understood it. They were more like... static. Flickering, incomplete forms that shifted and reformed with every passing second. One moment, a hulking brute with the semblance of armor, the next, a whirlwind of sharp edges and guttural snarls. My Chronicle Engine hummed beneath my skin, a low, steady thrum that was becoming as familiar as my own heartbeat.
“Status History: Corrupted Echo. Origin: Fragmented Knightly Order, Erebos. Last Memory: Oath of Fealty, broken.”
