Lily’s heart felt like a tiny bird, fluttering against her ribs as the Wise Old Owl hooted softly. “The silence,” he’d said, his voice like rustling leaves, “is a song un-sung. A melody lost.” He’d pointed a claw towards the sky, a sky that always seemed a shade too pale, too hushed. “It’s up there, child. Held by something that has forgotten joy.”

Now, as Lily followed the faint trail of shimmering dust the owl had described, she felt a strange pull, a whisper of a tune she couldn't quite grasp. It wasn't the fluffy white kind that drifted lazily on a summer day, nor the dark, rumbling giants that promised rain. This cloud was a tapestry of muted greys and blues, with edges that seemed to weep. And from its very being, a sound emanated – a delicate, haunting melody, like the chime of distant bells, but tinged with an unbearable sadness.
