Chapter 55
Episode 55
The air in Cache Valley, once crisp with the scent of pine and damp earth, now carried a new tang – the metallic scent of progress, the acrid bite of industry. He pulled out his map, its edges frayed, its surface a testament to countless journeys, its ink smudged by moisture and wear. He traced the lines, the routes of his own exploration, the places he’d named in his mind, the secrets he’d uncovered. But now, the ‘uncharted’ territories were being charted with alarming speed. The names he’d whispered to the wind were being inked onto official documents, the resources he’d once marveled at were being cataloged, measured, and, most importantly, exploited.
