The Maze of Paths

The passage opened into a vast, echoing chamber, not of rock and coral, but of something far more ancient, carved by currents and time into a bewildering labyrinth. Towering walls, slick with a phosphorescent algae that cast an eerie, greenish glow, stretched in every direction, creating a dizzying network of paths. Nalu, Kiko, and Oru hovered at the entrance, their eyes scanning the endless possibilities.

“This is it,” Oru murmured, his voice a low rumble that seemed to vibrate through the water. “The maze. The map warned of this.”

Nalu consulted the worn shell, tracing the spiral symbol with his snout. It seemed impossibly complex, a tangle of lines that offered no clear direction. “Which way do we go, Oru?”
