Chapter 12
The Eye of the Storm
The "Sea Serpent" enters a supernatural storm, a maelstrom conjured by the artifact's guardians. The crew battles not only the elements but their own rising fear.

The waves, once playful swells, were now sullen, heaving masses of water, their crests laced with an unsettling, phosphorescent glow. "Serpents they may be, Pete, but this ship is built to tame them." My voice, though I tried to keep it steady, held a tremor that even I couldn't entirely suppress. The closer we drew to the heart of this cursed quest, the more the world around us seemed to warp, reflecting the unease coiling within my own gut.
