The biting wind whipped strands of Tina’s hair across her face, but she barely noticed. Her gaze was fixed on Ravine, a silhouette against the swirling snow, the faint glow of the city lights painting a halo around her dark, severe bob. It was a strange kind of beauty, Ravine’s, one that had initially been sharp and dangerous, like a shard of obsidian, but now, to Tina, it held a magnetic pull, a raw, untamed power that resonated deep within her.

They stood on a deserted overlook, the vast, silent expanse of the Arctic night stretching out before them. The city, a distant smear of warmth and light, felt a universe away. Here, it was just the two of them, cocooned in the cold, a fragile bubble of shared existence.

“You are cold,” Ravine stated, her voice a low rumble, the accent thick as ever, a comforting weight in the stillness. She reached out, her gloved hand finding Tina’s, her grip firm, possessive.
