Chapter 6
The Unveiling of Rose
Alex learns of Rose, a childhood friend who possesses his lost pocket watch, granting her protection. This item is key, as Rose represents his sole, unexpected weakness.
The crimson light bled through the stained-glass windows of the blood castle, painting the grand hall in hues of a dying sun. Alex sat upon his throne, a macabre masterpiece carved from the solidified essence of a thousand battles, the chill of ages seeping into his very bones. His eyes, pools of obsidian reflecting the eerie glow, were fixed on the ebony and ivory pieces of a chessboard laid out before him. Across from him, Lilith, her crimson lips curved into a subtle, predatory smile, moved a pawn with a delicate, almost caressing motion.

Three centuries had passed, a blink in the grand tapestry of his immortal existence, yet a chasm in the mundane lives of those who had once called him friend. His powers, once a raging inferno, were now embers, flickering weakly in the vast expanse of his being. The world outside had churned and churned, a tempest brewing in his absence, all in preparation for his reawakening. Heroes, gods, cultivators – they had been forged in the fires of anticipation, their destinies intertwined with his eventual return.
