The silence of the tomb was absolute, a heavy cloak woven from centuries of stillness. It was a silence that had pressed down on Alex, a suffocating blanket of nothingness, until a tremor, faint as a heartbeat, began to ripple through the void. It was a tremor that grew, not in volume, but in insistent presence, a phantom limb stirring from a long, dreamless sleep. Then, a flicker. A spark. And with it, a consciousness, nascent and fragile, began to coalesce.

He was Alex, or rather, he was in Alex. The name resonated, a phantom echo from a life he barely recalled, a life of pixelated worlds and simulated destinies. This body, this vessel, was ancient, steeped in an age that dwarfed human comprehension. Three millennia of existence, a lineage steeped in the very essence of night. Yet, as awareness bloomed, it brought with it a chilling realization: the power that should have surged through him, the raw, untamed might of a creature born of shadow and blood, was a mere ember. A cold, dying ember.

The darkness fractured. Not with light, but with the gradual perception of form. He was encased, swaddled in the velvet embrace of a coffin. The air, cool and heavy, carried the faint, metallic tang of old blood. His eyes, when they finally fluttered open, were met with a sight that was both alien and strangely familiar: the opulent, somber grandeur of a blood castle. Crimson tapestries depicting scenes of ancient battles hung from walls of obsidian. Candles, their flames a deep, unnatural sapphire, cast long, dancing shadows that writhed like captured spirits.
