It was a sight that had become as familiar to the world as the rising sun, a constant reminder of the slumbering darkness that lay beneath the blood castle. Tonight, however, the moon's light seemed to gather and coalesce around a single, solitary figure walking the windswept expanse.

Rose.

She moved with a quiet grace, her steps barely disturbing the brittle, frost-kissed grass. The air, sharp and biting, did little to deter her, for a different kind of chill had settled deep within her bones, a yearning that had no name, no discernible source. It was a pull, subtle yet insistent, drawing her inexorably towards the looming silhouette of the blood castle, a place whispered about in hushed tones, a place of dread and ancient power.
