The crimson blood moon hung like a weeping eye in the bruised velvet sky, its light bleeding across the obsidian parapets of the blood castle. Within, a hush had fallen, a pregnant silence that thrummed with unspoken devotion. Lilith, her obsidian hair a silken cascade against the stark white of her skin, knelt before the throne, her gaze fixed on the figure seated there. Alex, or what remained of him, was a silhouette against the ethereal glow, a nascent king awakening from a slumber that had spanned centuries.

His eyes, the color of a storm-tossed sea, finally flickered open, a slow, deliberate movement that sent a ripple of anticipation through the assembled women. They were his followers, his chosen, their lives intertwined with his in a tapestry woven from threads of loyalty, adoration, and something far more primal. Lilith felt a tremor run through her, a tremor that had nothing to do with the chill of the stone floor and everything to do with the man she served.

"My Lord," she began, her voice a low, resonant hum, "you are awake."
