Chapter 14
A Party with an End Time
Amy helps the ghost reframe the ancient pact. Instead of an endless party, they agree on a single, spectacular spectral gathering once a century, a true celebration of connection, not entrapment.

A celebration of connection, of shared joy, of… well, of not being lonely anymore.” His voice, which had started out as a booming, spectral roar, had softened to a mournful whisper. “The ancient pact was meant to bind us together, you see. To ensure no one was ever alone again. But somewhere along the line, the… interpretation got a bit twisted. Like a game of telephone, but with more ghosts.”
