The city, a sprawling entity of shadows and neon, had become a canvas for our nascent connection. Each stolen glance, each accidental brush of hands, felt like a brushstroke, tentative at first, then bolder, painting a picture I couldn't quite decipher. Sol. The name itself tasted like mystery on my tongue, a dark, alluring secret. His black hair, streaked with emerald, was a stark contrast to my own sun-kissed brown, a braid that usually felt like a tether to the ordinary world, now seemed to shimmer with an unusual luminescence when he was near.
We met in places that didn't exist on any map, whispered about in hushed tones, underground gatherings where the air thrummed with a dangerous energy. It was there, amidst the pulsing bass and the haze of illicit smoke, that our eyes first met, a silent acknowledgment in a sea of anonymity. He saw me. Truly saw me, for the first time in my twenty-two years. And I, in turn, was captivated by the depths of his gaze, those piercing green eyes that seemed to hold ancient secrets.
Sol was an enigma, a quiet observer who absorbed the world with an almost unnerving stillness. I, on the other hand, felt things with a ferocity that often left me breathless. He was the calm in my storm, the anchor to my drifting ship. Our conversations, when they finally began, were hesitant, like two strangers testing the waters of a vast ocean. Yet, there was an undeniable current pulling us together, a magnetic force that defied logic.
