Rumors begin to circulate backstage. Some fans praise Jinwoo's dedication, while others question his motives. Hyunjin overhears snippets, fueling his suspicions about Jinwoo's ambition.

The air backstage, usually a vibrant hum of nervous energy and shared laughter, had begun to thicken with something less tangible, something that coiled and whispered in the shadowed corners. It was a subtle shift, almost imperceptible at first, like the first tremor before an earthquake, but Hyunjin felt it deep in his bones. Felix, his Felix, was absent again, his usual spot on the dressing room bench empty, the faint scent of his lavender cologne lingering like a ghost. Each missed performance was a fresh sting, a reminder of the invisible thief that was stealing his best friend’s light.

He found himself watching Jinwoo more than he intended. The backup dancer, once a blur of synchronized movement in the background, now seemed to occupy a larger space. His smiles, once directed at the collective group, now seemed to linger a beat too long on the cameras, on the faces of the trainees who looked up to him with wide, adoring eyes. Fans, even some of the most devoted Felix and Hyunjin followers, were starting to whisper. Hyunjin caught fragments of conversations as he passed: "He's so dedicated, isn't he?" "Jinwoo really stepped up." "Felix is lucky to have someone like him to cover."

Lucky. The word grated against Hyunjin’s nerves. Lucky was not what Felix was. Felix was ill, vulnerable, and this Jinwoo, with his practiced grace and his seemingly earnest concern, was starting to feel less like a teammate and more like a vulture circling.
