The air in the practice room, usually alive with the thrum of shared ambition and the comforting scent of sweat and determination, felt thick and heavy, a suffocating blanket woven from unspoken accusations. Hyunjin stood his ground, his gaze unwavering, a shield for the unspoken fears that clawed at his insides. Jinwoo, bathed in the cool, sterile light of the room, offered a picture of wounded innocence, his smile a carefully crafted masterpiece of polite confusion.

“Hyunjin-ssi,” Jinwoo began, his voice a smooth, melodic murmur that seemed to vibrate with sincerity, “I’m afraid I don’t understand. What exactly are you implying?” He tilted his head, his dark eyes wide, a picture of earnest bewilderment. It was a performance, Hyunjin knew, a dazzling display of practiced vulnerability.

“You know what I’m implying, Jinwoo,” Hyunjin said, his voice low, a rumble of contained frustration. He kept his tone even, refusing to let the anger that simmered beneath the surface boil over. That was Jinwoo’s game, to provoke, to draw out the raw emotion, and then to twist it. “Felix is sick. He’s been sick for a long time. And you… you’ve been stepping into his place. Every chance you get.”
