Our paws were getting awfully sore. Willow Creek’s cobblestones had felt much friendlier underfoot than the sharp, slick rocks of the Crystal Caves. It had taken us ages to even find the entrance, which, of course, was hidden behind a waterfall that looked suspiciously like a giant, sparkly curtain. Baby Blue Bears, with his usual boundless enthusiasm, had tried to walk right through it, only to get completely soaked and emerge sputtering like a drowned badger. I’d managed to nudge him aside just in time, remembering Elder Raven’s cryptic advice about "seeking the shimmering path, not the obvious splash."
