The air in the hidden chamber hummed with a power that felt both alien and intimately familiar to Elara. It was a place Eldrin had conjured from the very fabric of shadows, deep beneath the whispering woods where her uncontrolled magic had first erupted. This was where the lessons began, not with incantations or grand gestures, but with stillness, with listening.

“Your magic,” Eldrin’s voice was a low rumble, like stones shifting in the earth, “is not a tool to be wielded, not yet. It is a wild river. You must learn its currents, its depths, before you can even dream of steering its course.”

Elara sat cross-legged on the cold stone floor, her hands resting in her lap. The chamber was lit by an ethereal, pulsing light that seemed to emanate from the very walls, casting long, dancing shadows. She closed her eyes, trying to feel the river Eldrin spoke of. It was there, a constant thrum beneath her skin, a restless energy that yearned for release. Sometimes, it felt like a coiled serpent, ready to strike. Other times, a tempest trapped within a fragile vessel.
