Eldrin brings Elara to a hidden sanctuary where other renowned wizards gather. They debate the nature of her power and the encroaching darkness.
The air in the hidden sanctuary hummed with a power that Elara could feel vibrating in her very bones, a stark contrast to the quiet solitude of her life in the Whispering Woods. Master Eldrin had led her through a labyrinth of moss-covered stone and shimmering illusions, each step taking her further from the familiar and deeper into the unknown. Now, she stood in a chamber carved from obsidian, its walls studded with crystals that pulsed with an inner light, casting an ethereal glow upon the faces gathered before her. These were not the simple villagers she had known, nor the stern guards of the distant castle. These were mages, their eyes ancient and sharp, their robes embroidered with symbols that spoke of arcane knowledge.
“Elara,” Master Eldrin’s voice was a low rumble, cutting through the hushed anticipation. He gestured towards the assembled figures. “These are the esteemed members of the Arcane Council. They have sensed the disturbance, the ripple of power that began with you.”
A woman with hair like spun silver, her face etched with wisdom, stepped forward. Her eyes, the color of a stormy sea, fixed on Elara. “Eldrin speaks the truth. A tremor, potent and unsettling, has been felt across the lands. A darkness stirs, and its awakening is… linked to you, child.” Her voice was melodic, yet carried an undercurrent of grave concern.
