Chapter 15
The Sunset Serenade
As the sun begins to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, they find themselves on the secluded bench Splashy indicated. The atmosphere becomes undeniably romantic. Blaze feels his courage building.
The sky bled into a symphony of fire. Streaks of molten orange and soft rose painted the clouds, a breathtaking farewell from the sun to the day. Blaze and Luna found themselves, almost by silent, shared understanding, on the secluded bench Splashy had so helpfully ‘guided’ them to. Blaze’s heart gave a little flutter against his ribs. *Perfect*. The word echoed in his mind, a delicate chime that resonated with the burgeoning hope inside him. He watched Luna, the soft light of the sunset catching the highlights in her hair, turning it to spun gold. Her profile was etched against the vibrant canvas of the sky, and for a moment, he felt as though he was the only person in the world, privileged to witness this solitary, beautiful moment.
