The aroma of something delightful, or perhaps something that *might* become delightful, was wafting through the kitchen. It was a familiar scent, a prelude to Amy’s culinary adventures, a scent that always got the little paws twitching and the tail thumping a frantic rhythm against the linoleum. Today’s adventure, however, was all about saying goodbye to the humble egg, or at least, to the *need* for it.
“Okay, my little kitchen helpers!” Amy’s voice, bright and a little breathless, cut through the hum of the refrigerator. “Today, we’re talking about egg-cellent alternatives! No yolks about it!”
From beneath the kitchen table, a blur of black and tan shot out, followed by a smaller, equally enthusiastic ball of fluff. Einstein, the hyperactive Chiweenie, skidded to a halt, his tail a propeller of pure joy. Beside him, Princess Fluffybutt, the silly Chihuahua, waddled out, her little pink tongue lolling out in anticipation.
