Wise Words and a Plan
Bartholomew the wise old beetle joins them. He examines the stage, offering calm advice. Together, the three friends devise a plan, combining Luna's speed, Bartholomew's wisdom, and Leo's determination.
The air in the meadow, which had been buzzing with the electric hum of anticipation just moments before, now felt thick with a strange, disheartening silence. Leo, his antennae drooping like wilted dandelions, stood beside the increasingly dull stage, his heart sinking faster than a dropped pixel. Luna, her wings a blur of anxious energy, zipped around him in tight circles, her usual cheerful chirps replaced by worried little squeaks.
“It’s just… getting grayer, Leo!” she exclaimed, her voice a high-pitched whine. “It’s like all the color is being sucked out of it, like a giant, invisible vacuum cleaner with a serious case of the blahs!”
Leo sighed, running a frustrated leg through the short grass. He’d tried everything he could think of. He’d poked it, prodded it, even tried to tickle the grayness away with a feather, but nothing worked. The vibrant rainbow hues that were supposed to greet festival-goers were fading into a dreary, monotonous shade of… well, gray. He felt a familiar prickle of that secret worry he kept tucked away in the darkest corner of his mind: *Maybe I’m just not cut out for this.*
