The silence in Elara’s small apartment was a heavy blanket, thick with the scent of stale tea and unspoken regrets. The remnants of Liam’s presence—a forgotten book on the coffee table, a faint imprint on the sofa cushion—felt like mocking reminders of a narrative she’d read too many times before.
