The Pharaoh's Blessing
A mystical aura seems to surround Maya and Pip, as if the pharaoh himself approves of their guardianship and their unique friendship. The tomb feels peaceful.
The air in the pharaoh's tomb had always held a certain stillness, a hushed reverence that settled deep into the stone. But today, something was different. A gentle warmth, like the first rays of dawn peeking over the desert horizon, seemed to emanate from the very heart of the burial chamber. It wrapped around Maya and Pip, a shimmering, invisible cloak that felt both ancient and new.
Maya, her linen bandages rustling softly, tilted her head, her eyes, usually bright with mischief, now held a contemplative glint. Pip, perched on her shoulder, his tiny, iridescent shell catching the faint torchlight, chirped a series of soft, contented clicks. It was as if the very stones of the tomb were breathing a sigh of approval.
"Do you feel it, Pip?" Maya whispered, her voice a low hum that echoed in the vast space. "It's… peaceful. More peaceful than I remember."
