They leave the hidden chamber, the artifact now a part of their understanding. The ruins feel less menacing, more like a sacred space.
The air inside the chamber, once thick with the scent of dust and forgotten ages, now hummed with a different sort of stillness. It wasn't the silence of abandonment, but the quiet reverence of a place that had held something profound. The artifact, glowing faintly in the center of our hands – or rather, glowing within our minds, a subtle shift in perception – seemed to have absorbed the very essence of the chamber. We stood there for a long moment, the weight of what we’d experienced settling upon us. It wasn't a heavy weight, though, but a comforting one, like a warm blanket on a cool evening.
"So, this is it?" Joseph whispered, his usual boisterous tone subdued. He looked around, as if expecting more to happen, more to *see*. The chamber, with its crumbling walls and ancient carvings, suddenly felt less like a secret treasure room and more like a hushed sanctuary.
Noah, ever the observer, ran a hand over a weathered stone. "It’s… peaceful. I thought it would be more… grand. More like a king’s hoard."
