Chapter 8
Episode 8
Luna transforms into Lyra, a wolf form, during a pool party. She receives cryptic warnings about Malik returning, who seeks her power. After the transformation, she gains a magical crown and is proclaimed Queen Luna.
The air shimmered with an almost tangible heat, the kind that promised mischief and unspoken desires. Luna, clad in a swimsuit that felt both daring and ridiculously out of place for a soon-to-be Queen, dipped a toe into the crystal-clear water of the resort’s sprawling pool. Laughter, a cacophony of youthful exuberance, echoed around her. The ‘Sunrise’ boys, ever the charmers, were splashing each other with playful abandon, their voices a familiar melody. Max, with his easy grin, waved her over, but Luna’s gaze drifted, snagging on the figure of Jordan, leaning against the tiled edge of the pool, his expression unreadable. The familiar prickle of unease, the one that had been a constant companion since their reunion, surfaced again.
Suddenly, a tremor ran through the ground, a low, guttural rumble that vibrated in Luna’s bones. The water in the pool rippled violently, as if a giant hand had disturbed its surface. A shadow, impossibly deep, fell over the sun-drenched scene, and a voice, ancient and laced with a chilling urgency, seemed to whisper directly into her mind. *“He comes for the blood. For the power. He will not rest until the Moonlight Pack is extinguished.”*
Luna gasped, stumbling back. The voice was a phantom, yet its message was starkly real. Malik. The name, a half-forgotten nightmare from childhood tales, slammed into her with the force of a physical blow. The shimmering heat of the day seemed to curdle, replaced by an icy dread. She looked at Jordan, his eyes wide, mirroring her own shock. Then, a wave of heat, so intense it felt like fire, coursed through her. Her skin prickled, her muscles tensed, and a primal urge, a wild, untamed power, surged within her.
