Luna’s breath hitched, a soft gasp escaping her lips as she pulled away from Max. “I’m… I’m so sorry,” she stammered, her cheeks flushing a deep crimson. “I didn’t mean to. It just… happened.” She turned, burying her face in her hands, and scrambled back onto her bed, curling into a tight ball. Max watched her, a mixture of surprise and tenderness in his blue eyes, the silent question hanging heavy in the air. An hour later, the door creaked open again, and Dylan stumbled in, collapsing onto the floor with a groan.

The first rays of dawn peeked through the hotel curtains, painting the room in soft hues of gold and pink. Luna, now dressed in a simple t-shirt and shorts, padded into the kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filling the air. She hummed a soft, melancholic tune as she arranged two plates with fluffy pancakes, a generous serving of fruit, and crispy bacon. The boys were still asleep, lost in their own worlds, a stark contrast to the whirlwind of magic and destiny that had enveloped Luna’s life. As the smell of breakfast wafted through the suite, Dylan stirred, followed by Max. They wandered into the kitchen, their eyes still heavy with sleep, drawn by the irresistible scent. They stopped, a shared look of pleasant surprise passing between them as they saw Luna, a small, serene smile gracing her lips as she sat at the small table, already eating.

“Good morning,” she said, her voice soft but clear. “I made breakfast.” She gestured to the two waiting plates, a silent invitation. Max’s gaze met hers, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes, while Dylan simply offered a grateful nod, already reaching for his fork. The quiet domesticity of the moment was a fragile shield against the looming threats, a brief respite before the next act of Luna’s extraordinary life would unfold.
