Chapter 12
Home with Tales to Tell
Creed and CarterJean return home, weary but triumphant. They carry not just memories, but the shared experience of bravery, magic, and the incredible adventure they conquered together.
The last rays of the setting sun dappled through the ancient canopy of the Whispering Woods as Creed and CarterJean, their hearts alight with a triumphant glow, turned their footsteps towards home. The shimmering crystal, nestled safely in Creed’s satchel, pulsed with a gentle warmth against his side, a constant reminder of the darkness they had banished and the magic they had embraced. Now, that fear felt distant, replaced by the exhilarating memory of courage. “They’ll have to believe us, CarterJean,” he said, catching up to her. “We’ve got the crystal, and we’ve got the stories.” He patted the satchel. “And besides,” he added, a mischievous grin spreading across his face, “I’m pretty sure the sprites won’t let us forget anything. They’ve got a knack for reminding people of things, even if it’s just to ask for shiny pebbles.”
