The air in Elara’s small cottage was thick with the scent of dried herbs and the lingering warmth of the hearth, but a new chill, one that had nothing to do with the approaching night, had settled in her heart. Kaelen’s words, spoken with a gravity that mirrored the darkening sky, echoed in her mind. A sanctuary. Artifacts. Amplification. These were concepts as vast and distant as the constellations she so loved to watch. Elara traced a hesitant finger over the symbol. “And these artifacts… you believe they can truly help me?” Her voice was barely a whisper, a contrast to the tremor that ran through her.
