Chapter 20
The Choice of Eternity
In a climactic showdown, Elara must choose between restoring the original timeline or forging a new one, forever altering reality.
The air thrummed, a discordant symphony of what was, what had been, and what might never be. Before Elara stretched the Nexus, a swirling vortex of pure potential, the heart of the Nine Gates. The Weaver, cloaked in shadows that seemed to drink the light, stood at its precipice, a silhouette against the kaleidoscope of fractured realities. Kael, his face a mask of grim resolve, stood beside her, his hand resting on the hilt of a blade that hummed with contained energy.

Elara’s gaze swept over the swirling colours, each a life, a moment, a universe. She saw the echoes of her own past, the laughter of a childhood long gone, the quiet grief of loss, the dizzying wonder of her awakening. She saw the endless repetition, the cycles of joy and sorrow, the unyielding march of time that had led to this precipice. The Weaver was not entirely wrong. The world, the *existence*, felt…stale. Repetitive. A worn record playing the same lament.
