With Mr. Sparkle fully awake and the fireworks accounted for, the puppies take turns explaining their investigation. Baby Blue proudly describes how his nose led them to the glitter, Dottie recounts her clumsy discovery of the bag, and Russo details his olfactory breakthrough. Captain Zoomie beams, listening to their accounts. He highlights how each puppy's unique skills and their ability to work together as a team were essential in solving the case. The morning sun, usually a cheerful herald of Independence Day, seemed to cast a gentle, knowing glow over the Spookyween Detective Agency’s headquarters. Mr. Sparkle, now wide awake and remarkably chipper after his mysterious slumber, sat on a plush dog bed, a half-eaten biscuit resting on a nearby saucer. The three puppies, Baby Blue, Dottie, and Russo, sat attentively before him, their tails giving the occasional, excited thump against the rug. Captain Zoomie, his magnificent mane shimmering in the sunlight, stood beside them, a proud glint in his wise eyes.
“So, Mr. Sparkle,” Baby Blue began, his voice earnest, “you see, it all started when we found you… well, snoozing rather soundly in your cart.” He paused, a little embarrassed at the memory of their initial confusion. “But then, Captain Zoomie arrived, and we knew it was a case for the Spookyween Detective Agency!”
He puffed out his chest, a little wave of confidence rippling through him. “My nose, you see, it’s very good. It’s the best! And when I sniffed around your cart, I caught a very faint, but very important, smell. It wasn’t just… fireworks. It was… something else. Something sweet, like… like sugar! And then, I found it! A tiny trail of glitter, leading away from your cart, like a sparkly breadcrumb trail!” Baby Blue’s tail wagged furiously as he recounted his crucial discovery. He’d always known his sniffing prowess would be a key asset, and today, it had proven him right.
