A fierce battle ensues. Luna, empowered by the Jade Paw, fights Shadowclaw, while Rivergem and other allies defend the empire from his lingering darkness.
The wind, usually a gentle caress carrying the perfume of night-blooming jasmine, now tore through Twilight Peak with a chilling howl. It whipped Luna’s fur around her, a frantic dance against the encroaching gloom. Below, the once-gleaming canals of the Moonlit Empire were no longer rivers of amethyst but murky veins of shadow. The air thrummed with a palpable fear, a heavy blanket woven from the despair of a thousand anxious paws.
Luna stood at the precipice of the peak, the Jade Paw pulsing with an inner light against her chest. It was a beacon, a defiant spark against the suffocating darkness that Shadowclaw had unleashed. Beside her, Elder Whiskerwind, his ancient fur ruffled by the gale, watched the unfolding chaos with eyes that held the weight of centuries. His usual calm was strained, a tight line around his muzzle.
"The time has come, little one," Elder Whiskerwind rasped, his voice barely audible above the tempest. "The prophecy does not speak of easy victories, only of the courage to face the inevitable."
