The Crystal's Whisper
Leon, Rina, and Seeker emerge from the hollow oak to find the Night Blood village recovering from the attack. After helping the wounded, they discover that the second crystal holds a message from the guardian god Unos, revealing a hidden temple where Leon must undergo his first trial. Seeker reveals his past with a warrior from the Thornclaw clan, and Lexus appears unexpectedly, offering a tense truce.
The hollow of the ancient oak was dark and close, the two crystals resting in Leon’s hands like warm embers. Outside, the corrupted kratos slammed against the barrier Seeker had raised, each blow sending tremors through the wood. Leon’s heart pounded, but the crystals hummed a steady, calming note, as if they were breathing in time with him.
“How long will that hold?” Rina whispered, her winged lizard perched on her shoulder.
“Long enough for us to find another way out,” Seeker said. He pressed his palm flat against the inner wall of the oak, closed his eyes, and muttered something in a language Leon did not recognize. A faint glow spread from his hand, tracing a spiral pattern in the wood. With a soft groan, a section of the trunk slid open, revealing a narrow tunnel that sloped downward into darkness.
