Leon begins training with the crystal, but a mysterious warrior named Seeker arrives with a warning about Kain's growing power. Seeker tests Leon's strength, then shares a cryptic vision of a hidden crystal and a threat from within. Meanwhile, Torn struggles with his feelings for Maliko, and One Eye reveals a secret about her daughter.
The morning after the cave, the village stirred with new energy. Word of the crystal had spread, and the Night Bloods gathered around the central fire, their voices a low hum of hope and worry. Leon sat apart, the black crystal resting on his palm. Its red veins pulsed in time with his heartbeat, as if it were alive.
Rune approached, her footsteps silent on the mossy ground. “You’ve been staring at it for an hour,” she said, sitting beside him. “What do you feel?”
“It’s warm,” Leon said. “And heavy, but not just in my hand. It’s like… something is pulling me forward.”
