Kael moved with a predatory grace beside her, his senses on high alert. His hand rested lightly on the hilt of his sword, a silent promise of protection. They had navigated treacherous tunnels, bypassed ancient wards, and now stood at the precipice of… something immense. Before them lay a vast, cavernous chamber, its walls carved with intricate, swirling patterns that seemed to shift and writhe in the dim, ethereal light. At the center, a colossal crystalline structure pulsed with an inner luminescence, casting kaleidoscopic reflections across the uneven floor. This was the convergence, the meeting point of the Four Quadrants of Destiny, and it was alive.
“This is it,” Kael murmured, his voice low and tinged with a weariness that spoke of too many battles fought in shadows. “The heart of their operation. Vane is here.”
