The Shadow Weaver's Gaze
The Shadow Weaver senses Luna's quest and sends its dark tendrils to hinder her. Whispers of doubt and illusions of despair plague the travelers, testing their courage and their trust in each other.
The air in the ancient temple grew heavy, thick with the scent of dust and forgotten prayers. Luna, Jasper, and Willow huddled together, the flickering torchlight casting long, dancing shadows that seemed to writhe with a life of their own. Elder Whiskerwind’s words about the Jade Paw had settled deep within Luna’s heart, a tiny ember of hope against the encroaching gloom. But now, a new chill seeped into the very stones of the temple, a presence that felt both ancient and malevolent.
“Do you feel that?” Willow whispered, her fur bristling. Her usually bright eyes darted nervously around the chamber, her lithe body tensed as if ready to spring.
Jasper let out a low growl, his tail twitching. “It feels like… like the darkness that’s been creeping into the kingdom, but stronger. Closer.” He shifted, placing himself slightly in front of Luna, his protective instincts flaring.
