Luna and Rivergem finally reach the resting place of the Jade Paw, only to find it guarded by an ancient protector or a complex magical barrier.
The air grew heavy, thick with the scent of salt and ancient stone as Luna and Rivergem finally reached the edge of the Sunken City of Pearls. Moonlight, usually a gentle caress, now shimmered with an almost electric intensity, revealing the pearlescent structures that lay submerged beneath the tranquil, amethyst waters. It was a place whispered about in hushed tones, a legend even to the most seasoned travelers, and now, it was their destination.
“It’s… breathtaking,” Rivergem breathed, her eyes wide, reflecting the ethereal glow. She nudged Luna gently. “Are you sure this is it? It looks like a dream.”
Luna nodded, a tremor of anticipation running through her. The water here felt different, humming with a latent power that resonated deep within her. Elder Whiskerwind’s words echoed in her mind: “The Jade Paw rests where the deepest pearls weep, guarded by the silent watchers.”
