The Test of Worthiness

The Lumina Steed stood before them, a vision spun from moonlight and the very essence of the aurora. Its spectral mane shimmered with all the colors of the northern lights, and its eyes, deep pools of starlight, seemed to hold the wisdom of ages. Elara, Finn, and Kael stood breathless, the icy air around them suddenly charged with an otherworldly energy. They had found it, the creature of legend, the hope of Aethelgard.

“It is… magnificent,” Elara whispered, her voice barely audible above the thrumming in her own chest. She reached out a tentative hand, not daring to touch, but simply to feel the warmth that radiated from the steed, a stark contrast to the biting cold of their surroundings.

Finn stood tall, his hand resting instinctively on the hilt of his (mostly ornamental) sword, a protective stance he’d adopted since the journey began. He scanned the area, his pragmatic mind searching for any hidden dangers, even as his gaze was drawn, mesmerized, to the luminous creature. “It’s real,” he murmured, a hint of awe in his voice.
