The Fortress in the Fog
Leon and the group decide to rescue Misty's sister Silva from Kain's fortress in the Death Fog Forest. They venture into the deadly fog, encounter ancient guardians, and discover a hidden sanctuary where Silva is held. Leon's bond with the crystals deepens, and they free Silva, but Kain's shadow looms larger than ever.
The morning light crept through the trees like a hesitant friend, painting the Night Blood village in hues of gold and green. Leon sat by the central fire, the third crystal resting on the altar before him. Its amber glow pulsed steadily now, as if it had accepted him, but the weight of the vision still pressed on his chest. Misty sat nearby, her blue claws folded in her lap, her light blue eyes fixed on the ground.
Decan stood before the gathered tribe—Leon, Rina, Maliko, Torn, Seeker, Lexus, and Rune. His voice was low but firm. “Misty has agreed to help us free her sister, Silva. Kain holds her in a fortress deep in the Death Fog Forest. That place is treacherous even for the bravest warriors. The fog itself can drive a person mad, and Kain’s creatures patrol every shadow.”
“We can’t leave Silva there,” Rina said. Her hand rested on Leon’s shoulder. “If we free her, Misty will have no reason to betray us again.”
