The air in Elder Lyra’s celestial workshop hummed with a gentle, forgotten melody. It wasn’t a tune Elara could hum or whistle, but rather a feeling that resonated deep within her bones, a soft vibration that tickled her ears and settled like stardust on her skin. She sat cross-legged on a rug woven from moonbeams, the Starlight Jeans draped across her lap, their cosmic shimmer a soft counterpoint to the dim, pearly light filtering through the workshop’s domed ceiling. Pip, curled into a fuzzy ball of indigo denim scraps and stardust, twitched his ears beside her, his tiny snores a comforting rhythm against the vast silence.

The ordinary seams of her own dress seemed to pulse with a faint, inner light, and the sky, usually a vast expanse of blue, was now a swirling, vibrant tapestry of nebulae and distant suns. But the whispers, the subtle murmurs that accompanied these visions, were still like a language she almost, but not quite, understood.
