The salt spray kissed Theron’s weathered face, a familiar caress that had replaced the silken touch of royal robes. The deck of the Sea Serpent thrummed with a restless energy, a stark contrast to the somber weight of their impending return. It had been a long, arduous journey, marked by betrayal, storms, and the gnawing ache of exile. Now, as the shores of Eldoria loomed on the horizon, a different kind of storm brewed within the hearts of his crew.

It started subtly, a low hum that rose from the mess hall, morphing into a chorus of voices. Old sea shanties, born of hardship and camaraderie, filled the night air. They sang of storms weathered, of kraken vanquished, and of captains who led their crews through the darkest of nights. But tonight, the songs had a new subject.

Finn, his knuckles white on the railing, cleared his throat, his voice rough but carrying. “He sailed through the Serpent’s Coil, he did, With a heart of oak and a spirit unbowed. He faced the Oracle, her riddles he’d heed, And plucked the Sunken City from the shroud.”
