The air in the chamber crackled, thick with the scent of ozone and regret. It was a place Elara had only seen in the fractured echoes of her own nightmares, a space that felt both ancient and impossibly new. Before her, bathed in the cold, unyielding glow of the Obsidian Lattice, stood the figure she had dreaded, the architect of her downfall. The Weaver’s robes, spun from threads that seemed to absorb light, shifted and flowed like shadows made manifest. Their face, if it could be called that, was a tapestry of shifting masks, each one a flicker of a forgotten moment, a silent accusation.

“Elara,” the voice that emerged was like the rasp of dry leaves skittering across a desolate plain, “you have finally come to the heart of it all.”

Elara’s hand instinctively tightened around the Obsidian Lattice, its cool surface a stark contrast to the heat that bloomed in her chest. “You,” she spat, the word tasting like ash. “This is your doing. The Lattice, the rifts, everything.”
