No one wants your kind.* It was a familiar refrain, a song I knew by heart, a melody that had played on repeat for years, drowning out any hint of hope.

But something had shifted. The turning point hadn’t been a single, blinding flash, but more like the slow, inexorable creep of dawn after a long, starless night. It was a dawning realization, a quiet certainty that began to bloom in the barren landscape of my soul. The Divine Presence, that gentle, unwavering force, had been there all along, not judging, not condemning, but simply offering. Offering a hand to lift me, a path to follow, a purpose to embrace.
