It started small, a tentative whisper in the quiet corners of my own life. I’d always been a watcher, a listener, more comfortable in the shadows than under the spotlight. But the calling, that persistent hum beneath the surface of my days, had grown too loud to ignore. It wasn't about grand pronouncements or soaring sermons; it was about sitting down, pulling up a chair, and offering a simple truth: you belong here.

My first real attempt wasn't planned. I was at the local diner, the kind with vinyl booths and coffee that tasted like yesterday’s news. A young woman sat alone in a booth across from me, her shoulders hunched, eyes fixed on the chipped Formica tabletop. She had that look – the one I knew intimately, the hollow gaze of someone adrift, convinced they were invisible. The Voice of Doubt, my old companion, immediately began its insidious chant: *What do you know? You’re just like her, if not worse. You’ll only make it harder.*
